11.00am Talk Begins
12.30pm Lunch
Good television drama is something we all talk about. That is certainly true of dramas coming from Northern Ireland – with the added bonus of the fun of spotting the many locations used.
Our speaker at the Arts Society this month is a long established drama producer with the BBC and Two Cities Television. Stephen Wright's credits include the Fall, with Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan, Line of Duty, that brought the term 'sucking diesel' to a global audience and the current award winning success, Blue Lights.
Stephen will talk about the art of turning good drama into good television that grabs big audiences. He will touch on the issue of locations and why and how they are chosen. And the growing competition from cities around the world to secure TV production.
We loved the arts event where Declan Lawn talked about Blue Lights – time now for another glimpse into the process behind the dramas we all love to watch.
Please feel free to bring a guest and book through the office, letting them know if you will be staying for lunch.
